Okay, who else is going to watch this apart from me? A fair few, I suspect I know what the best thing about it is already, but the plot sounds like pretty good stuff too

I watched it - kind of struck a chord with me, the way Tricia seemed to lose her identity because she was becoming "that woman whose husband is ill" and went off the rails for a while. I think it was because she couldn't talk about it for fear of being seen as selfish, like when Alan's mum judged her. I went through a lot of similar feelings when my mum was in hospital, felt like somehow my name had been changed to "Oi, how's your mum?". I wouldn't have minded if they'd bothered to say so much as a hello in my direction, or got off their lazy backsides and visited her in hospital. The show made a very good point about how it's not only the ill person who suffers.
On a much lighter note, to quote one of the Doctor's friends: "Excellent bottom!"
