Celebrity Dancing On Ice

I think that's what it's called - anyone else going to watch it? There's a good choice of celebs on it and Torvill and Dean will be doing a routine of their own each week. For straight females and gay males, there's also the added incentive to watch it in the shape of John Barrowman (he's one of the contestants) I hope he's one of the better ones and lasts 'til the end or for a few weeks at least!

He was fab, and he was the best in the whole show. I was really upset last night, I felt like strangling everyone who let that happen

Saw this for the first time on Saturday, I have to say John was the best of the men (but I think the women are all better!) - felt sorry for David. And who the heck is that Stefan guy?

John was the best outright - and he had the best personality. He just lit up the whole show and now that's missing I won't be so enthusiastic about watching this anymore.

Bonnie Langford is really good, but she does get lifted a bit too often, I'd like to see her skate a bit more on the ice. Gaynor Faye is another one I'm watching, she's getting better all the time. I hope either one of them wins now that John's gone. It's not the same though...

I want Kelly Holmes OUT. She may be a top athlete but she doesn't make a good skater and I don't like her attitude, whenever she's defending herself against Jason Gardiner (who's sometimes a bit too blunt but he's my fave judge) she always goes on about her victory at the Olympics. She doesn't seem a humble sort of person to me for that.

Yay Gaynor won, and JB came back for a few seconds and demonstrated he was clearly the best skater there!!

I'd stopped watching after John was knocked out, but I watched the final and I'm glad Gaynor won. Good to see John again as well.

Brought this to the top again 'cause Series 2 is on now. Duncan James is my favourite, for various reasons Of the girls, I think Claire Buckfield is the best

Obviously not as good (oh why did I have to have a stupid flipping boyfriend who distracted me from John?) as last year but I'm enjoying it. Two PIM's (people I've met) in the shape of Duncan and Lee, and there's Lisa who lives somewhere near me although I've not met her yet. I've been impressed by Kyran so far, which is hard to admit given he's an English rugby player. May be slightly biased though cos the song he skated to on Saturday was one of my favourite ever songs. Made it look easy though. There have been a couple of last year's contestants in the audience so far, maybe we'll see John again! I knew he wouldn't be there last week cos the poor love's been ill.

Oh and Tony Gubba's comment regarding Stephen and his skating partner's outfit shows a startling amount of ignorance. Did he bother to learn anything about the contestants before the show started?!

How talented is Clare Buckfield?! What a natural she is on the ice.
I’m also liking Kyran Bracken. Had to giggle at his facial expression whilst doing his spiral.

I like Duncan James and his partner Maria too. I wouldn’t mind guiding him through a few moves myself!

I hate the long wait that Phillip puts the skaters through when he's revealing the result - it's really nerve-wracking!
