Thought it would be nice for us to pay tribute to Ronnie Barker seeing so many of us remember him fondly for his tv and comedy roles. He was a fantastic character actor.
Porridge Open All Hours Going Straight The Two Ronnies
I loved the sketches he did with Ronnie Corbett. Especially ‘Fork Handles!’
His Role as 'Fletcher' in Porridge was his best I thought. So many funny sketches in that. I laughed so much when he was being examined by the Doc. And he kept mentioning the fact that he had flat feet. And when the Doc asked him if he'd had crabs. Fletcher: "Don't like fish"
Anyone remember the Phantom Raspberry Blower ?

Going Straight was about Norman Stanley Fletcher (Ronnie Barker) having just been released from Slade Prison.
Lennie Godber (Richard Beckinsale) plans to marry Fletcher's daughter Ingrid (Patricia Brake). Nicholas Lyndhurst appeared in a few episodes as Fletcher's teenage son, Raymond
Must say I didn’t watch very much. I didn’t like it as much as Porridge.
Remember an episode from Porridge called ‘Happy Release’?
Fletcher has to spend some time in the prison hospital. Unpleasant Norris is in there too, and is soon to be released. Fletcher cons him into buying a treasure map with the possessions he took off Blanco (played by David Jason) Norris finds himself digging for the treasure in the middle of Leeds United Football Pitch. ;D
