For me and arcadia, and any other fan of this show ;D Really looking forward to the next series - Ben Browder is a new addition to the show, playing Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell, who'll be the new SG-1 team leader. Funnily enough, Claudia Black will be playing Vala again in the first six episodes so that's kind of a Farscape renunion, lol! I'll miss Richard Dean Anderson of course, but we have to respect his decision to leave (to see his daughter more). O'Neill won't be forgotten in a hurry!  PS: Isn't Michael Shanks a bit of alright?  |

See, I've never really got into SG-1 - I've caught the occasional episode but never been inspired to catch up on the umpteen series I've missed. Even Michael Shanks and Ben Browder isn't enough.
Stargate Atlantis, on the other hand, I do like and I can watch that from the start since it's just started being shown on Channel 5. There's a lot of pretty in SGA, especially Shepherd - may have to find a picture of him for the picture thread - and I like snarky miserable git McKay because he makes me laugh. Plus I can slash them, which is an added bonus. ;D
ETA: I do watch SGA for the plots and the dialogue and the characters as well, not just for the Pretty. Though the Pretty helps.

That's the trouble with SG-1 if you didn't watch the series from the start (I did) you have to be really keen to try and catch up - there's a lot of stuff to take in!
I like SG: Atlantis too - I have a soft spot for Dr Beckett, he's so sweet!

Woo-hoo, SG-1 is back tomorrow!  Pity it's a two-parter though, I'll miss the 2nd part because I'll be at my sister's in Edinburgh next week - she doesn't have Sky Digital  I'll miss the first episode of Atlantis too because of that (it starts next week).  |

Wish I had Sky. I'm still catching up on the first series of SGA on channel 5. And it wasn't on last week so I'm having McSheppy withdrawal symptoms *twitches*

Lol, there was a joke about Daniel Jackson and Cameron Mitchell looking alike in the first episode last night. Claudia Black's character (Vala) said something about Earth having a limited gene pool - which made Cameron and Daniel look at each other in a confused way |

I stopped watching Stargate SG1 a while ago, I don't know why because it's a great show!
I have quite a few of the DVD's and I like the original film too
I don't know that I'll be watching any of the new series, it just won't be the same without Jack

My favourite character's always been Daniel, but O'Neill was great and I'll miss him too. Hopefully he'll still be able to make a few guest appearances here and there (he was in it last night in a scene with the new commander of the SGC).
