I’m feeling nostalgic today.
What where your favourite sweets when you were young? I always liked the ones that were bad for your teeth..
Pineapple chunks Sour Apples Rhubarb and Custard Barley twists. Used to love liquorice …still do. Love hearts. Ha!
Remember Palma Violets?…*shudder*

White (and pink) Mice Strawberry Bootlaces Flying Saucers Anything sour! I still prefer kid's sweeties to "adult" ones like toffees and eclairs I like all the ones on your list but I'm a bit "funny" about liquorice, don't know if I like it or not. I never had the misfortune to eat a Palma's Violet - but I see Refresher's have brought them back...

Cola Cubes (or was it Kola Kubes??). Either way they weren't cola flavoured.
Also Cola Rola Balls, which I didn't actually like but used to buy because I liked the name
Space Dust or Star Dust (I can never remember which it was!). Until it got banned (maybe)
Sweet Cigarettes! They definitely got banned...

Why was Star Dust banned, exactly? Did some parents think it was a danger that it popped and cracked in your mouth and they thought it could cause injury? I don't know, major overreaction if you ask me

I can't remember what all the sweets were called but on holiday I was always allowed to have a 10p mix . In those days you could have a whole paper bag filled for 10p . Loads of kind of jelly shaped things full of colourings & all very bad for your teeth.
