Freema Agyeman played one of the Torchwood officers killed by the Cybermen in Saturday's episode, but she's now being re-cast to play Martha Jones as the Doctor's new assistant. Not Mickey then, it seems.

I hope Martha doesn't develop into quite such an object of obsession that Rose did.

I've seen Freema in a few tv shows. She looks nice. I'm sure she will fit right in. DT seems to like her anyway.

Don't think Martha will be as flirtatious with the Doc as Rose was, she seems older so I think she'll be a bit more like Sarah Jane Smith and go off on her own investigating things...

Captain Jack is to return in Series 3...that's the one thing I know about that I'm most looking forward to!

I hope Martha won't be another 'Rose'. It wouldn't work - well not with me it wouldn't. Besides, DT doesn't need anymore females falling at his feet!

I can't wait to see Captain Jack again. Now I wouldn't mind falling at his feet - maybe he could give me mouth to mouth...

Captain Jack was a neat character and he was written out too early. His b*tchy relationship with the Ninth Doctor was great fun as they bickered over Rose. But I just get the feeling he and the Tenth Doctor will be a little too similar to each other - similar playful quality - and it won't work the same way.

By the way, rumours are now circulating that next season will see the return of the Second Doctor's old enemies, the Ice Warriors.

Please, RTD, don't put them, the Cybermen, and the Daleks into the final episode next year!

I've heard the doctor has a new assistant , why is Billie Piper leaving ? I'm going to miss her :-(

I think Billie thought it was just time to move on in her career, I'll miss her too but the new girl looks like she'll be a good companion

Yeah she is - she's got the starring role in a mystery play set in the 19th century called "The Ruby In The Smoke" I think it's on TV this autumn or something

Don't seem to remember The Ice Warriors - but I googled up some pictures - hmm, interesting look! They look like 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'! Wonder if the Ice Warriors kick ass too?!
