The other night when I couldn't sleep (again : I heard the crows start making such a racket. It was about 2.30 in the morning. I wondered what all the noise was about. I looked out of my window, and in the middle of the road was a FOX!!! I have never seen one that close before. Anyway it ran off when a car came along. Aww it was so lovely.. Just thought I would share.

Aaaaaw that's lovely ;D I love foxes, I've seen two so far...I saw my first fox in a field when I was on the train to Glasgow with my mum, when I was a nipper. I never forgot that ;D The second one I saw a few years ago, we were down a path for a walk near a river (by some houses) and a fox ran along the side of the fence on the other side. I knew it was a fox because of its tail

Aww...
I was wondering where it had come from. I mean its not as if it is a heavily wooded area around here. Plenty of trees and such....
It must have been hungry, or it may have some cubs somewhere that it is feeding...

I get quite a lot of foxes near my house - there's some woodland nearby so I often see them on the edge of it when I'm walking home late at night. Sometimes you see them on the streets in broad daylight too - they are usually a bit thin and manky though, maybe they are starving and out looking for food. The ones I see are usually quite small, not much bigger than cats, so I guess they are probably youngish ones.

Aww. They must be hungry if they are out in daylight too. Sounds like they are from their appearance The one I saw was about the size of a small dog. I presumed it was female.

When we were at Edinburgh Zoo on Tuesday, we saw a fox jump over a wall and run down one of the paths - it must've come from the woods behind the zoo

Around 11 o'clock last night i saw a fox out of the kitchen window walking up the backgreen, at first i thought it was a cat but then i knew it was a fox because it had a longer body and a bushy tail :-).
