I shall have to get on my soap box again. This political Correctness crap really gets up my nose! I read this last week. Lambeth Council has decided that it is going to have "Winter Lights" this year instead of "Christmas Lights". This bizarre decision has apparently been made to avoid upsetting non-Christians with a council official reportedly saying that the change of terminology was to reflect the fact that a number of religious festivals occur over winter. Dear me....how sadIsn't it incorrect to say 'manhole' ? you have to say maintenance hole! The mind boggles  Oh and its politically incorrect to want a 'black' coffee, you have to have a coffee without milk |

Why would that upset non-Christians? And people that don't have a set religion celebrate Christmas, don't they? Winter Lights, my arse! And I will say manhole if I want to...and black coffee! There's no-one I know that gets upset about those terms! Sheesh! |

Most of the best comedies aren't PC - that's why most new sitcoms on the BBC or ITV nowadays don't last very long!

Here's one for you...
I was asked for a copy of Snow White on DVD the other day at work, unfortunately the film has been deleted then the Customer said to me, "Of course, we're not allowed to call it Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs anymore are we, because we are not allowed to call them 'dwarfs' we have to call them 'vertically challenged'"
Catchy huh, "Snow White and The Seven Vertically Challenged men"

The thing is, PC usually doesn't offend the people it is 'supposed' to offend.
So, do G4 wear suits without milk now then? And if you go to a funeral you should wear clothes without milk? *sigh*
It's too far out of hand. I saw somewhere that the lollipop person's (not ladies, it's sexist) pole and sign have been changed. The strip that was once black, now has to be green, so people don't think the sign meand 'Stop black children'
What about the green children I ask!!!
