Kevin Pietersen hit his first ever Test century to earn the draw that gave England a 2-1 series win and the Ashes for the first time since 1987.
Pietersen hit 158 and Ashley Giles 59 before England were bowled out for 335, a score that snuffed out Australian hopes of victory at The Oval.
They then batted for just four balls before bad light intervened, and a draw was eventually declared by the umpires.
The result brings to an end a series many have dubbed the "best ever".
England had been in trouble early on the final day of the fifth Test - losing four wickets before lunch - but Pietersen's super knock, which saw him named man of the match, guided them home.
Well done England!

I was really pleased, it is about time! I'm so glad we won it this way rather than have it rained off.

I agree BB. I don't like Cricket. But was so happy they won. I didn't realise how tiny the actual ashes cup is..

Isn't it just! Not the most impressive of trophies, but certainly one weighed down with prestige.
