Here is one thing that will cheer me up. Walking round the fair. I love walking round on a night just to soak up the atmosphere. Its back and in town for a week.  |

There used to be some shows that would come every year in September, but that was years ago...I was too scared to go on most of them (too fast and "screamy" for me at the time) but I still liked watching them!

I would rather watch them too. I’m not fond of fast rides anymore either.
Somehow they manage to find new and ingenious ways of rearranging your internal organs!!

Went to the Fair tonight. It was great!! I had a fab time. Brought back toffee apples, brandy snap, chocolate nougat, doughnuts, chocolate honeycomb…erm…well it is just once a year.. We were stood watching one called ‘Bungee’ – and at a cost of £10 a go you got put in this ball shaped thing( room only for 2 people) attached at the sides of the ball where massive elastic strap type things. After blowing smoke (I presume for more dramatics) the ball type thing was slung skyward at high speed (presumably leaving the occupants stomachs down below!!) They were bouncing up and down for a while till they were brought back down. It takes a picture of you too…ha! Lets hope no one threw up..ewww   And yes, that bl**dy frog was everywhere!!!! Even as a ride! (actually the ride looked pretty good) very fast and up and down, forwards, backwards...great! If only I had the courage to go on it.  Ha! I had to laugh. There was a stall giving 'crazy frog' stuffed toy things out for prizes - there was no one at the stall at all. And all these 'crazy frog' things where hung all over the place! I don't think the stall holder will do much trade. |
